All they do is shout' Dugdale on how independence-obsessed SNP is failing Scotland

SCOTTISH Labour leader Kezia Dugdale has said voting for the SNP is useless because "all they do is campaign for independence and shout at Tories".

Kezia Dugdale laid into the credibility of the SNP under Nicola Sturgeon as Scottish voters turn off the independence-obsessed party.

During an interview of Ridge on Sunday, Ms Dugdale condemned the nationalist party as useless and urged Scotland to send a message on June 8.

This follows growing support for an anti-SNP coalition, from voters "fed up" with the party ignoring domestic issues for independence campaigning.

In a blistering attack on the SNP, the Scottish politician said: "If you vote for the SNP, all you do is send MPs to campaign for independence and shout at Tories.

"If you vote for Labour, we can put in a radical plan to transform the country."

She told Ridge that people on the doorstep had told her about how the SNP had ignored the country's failing education and healthcare systems.

The Labour candidate criticised her rival Mrs Sturgeon for putting the independence cause above the needs of the ordinary Scot

She firmly declared that a vote for Labour was a vote for keeping the Union together.

Ms Dugdale also lashed out at the SNP leader for failing to stop cuts to local councils and refusing to tax the rich.

The MSP for Lothian added: "Her drive for independence could only worsen the state of Scotland.
"We would pay a heavy price for it."
